This summer, The Word Studio packed up and moved east.

As of April 2011, owner Christina Crook is based on the banks of Toronto's Humber River, trading the seaside views of Vancouver's Pacific for the easterly charms of Canada's cultural centre-point.

Since 2007, The Word Studio has provided editorial services to some of Canada's top cultural creators.

"We are thrilled by the energy and new allegiances we are forming in the arts, media and cultural sectors of the city, while continuing to work alongside our long-time clientele," says Crook.

We've continued writing and editing for a diverse clientele these past six months. And now we're up to our ears in editorial for Art-BC.com, Tourism New Westminster and a variety of new entrepreneurs.

New Westminster's newly renovated River Market serves as the cornerstone for TNW's 2011/12 Visitor's Guide and it was our great pleasure to recently peruse the Market's Hungry and Curious floors complete with Circus School and a storefront dedicated to all things small (appropriately named Tiny.)

Our office is based on the lovely shores of Bowen Island these days and another move us just around the corner... more on that soon.

Welcome baby Madeleine Jacoba Hope!

On September 2nd The Word Studio owner Christina Crook and her husband Michael welcomed their beautiful baby girl after an arduous three day labour. Mama and baby will be taking a short respite but we are still open for business.

We look forward to inviting more writers to join the Word Studio team in the coming months. Stay tuned for exciting new projects in 2010!
